Fantasy championships are won by hitting on early picks and finding steals later in the draft. At the current ADP in a half PPR format, things are starting to shape up on where to steal value. Buying low on guys who battled injury seems to be a theme for this season.

At quarterback, Brock Purdy is currently being drafted as the QB12. In his nine starts last year, Purdy averaged 19.7 points. His ability to consistently provide a sneaky contribution on the ground (three rushing TDs last season) lifts his floor and ceiling simultaneously. With the addition of Mike Evans, Ricky Pearsall returning from injury, and CMC seemingly still firing on all cylinders, Purdy could be primed for a big bounce-back year.

Running back Omarion Hampton was banged up last season, but didn’t miss a single game with injury during his collegiate career at North Carolina. With former Dolphins HC Mike McDaniel taking over the offense in LA, Hampton could benefit by upping his receiving input (3.6 catches for 21 yards per game). McDaniel has a history of providing a boost for his running backs in the passing game. The combination of improved health and a new offensive mind calling plays pushes Hampton up the board from his current RB10 draft slot.

Romeo Doubs might not be making WR1 money, but he will have a great shot at providing borderline WR1/2 numbers in New England. The addition of AJ Brown opens up space underneath for Doubs to operate, as I expect him to take a higher percentage of his snaps in the slot this year. At an ADP of 127 and as the 52nd receiver off the board, there are far worse dart throws than Drake Maye’s WR2.

The tight end position is always the most frustrating slot to fill. In a pinch, a guy like Isaiah Likely could be a spot start. However, if he is able to establish rapport with Jaxson Dart as a security blanket with Malik Nabers sidelined indefinitely, he could represent some real value. He’s currently going off the board as the TE13, but he has an opportunity to be a sell-high candidate when Nabers returns.
